The Curator’s Press

History, Archaeology, and the Human Mind

The Curator’s Press is an independent publishing company founded in Fort Worth, Texas, by Dr. Dawn Youngblood in 2026. It publishes her books on history, archaeology, and the ways human beings have made meaning across deep time.

Dr. Youngblood is an archaeologist and a former senior editor at Harcourt Brace. She served as a curator of archives and special collections at university and governmental institutions for more than twenty years. Her fieldwork has spanned predynastic Egypt, the Karoo of South Africa, and the Paleo-Indian sites of the American Southwest.

A curator traces each object to its source, tests whether it is genuine, and tells the public only what the evidence can truly support. We do the same for our readers, as the Curator’s Press Standard describes.

Our Books

Our first two books carry readers from a crowded gallery in the Louvre to the gods of Egypt and Babylon and the workings of the human brain, and from Paleolithic flint workers on the banks of the Seine to the cathedral that reopened in December 2024.
